This Spell Bound Gems(tm) pendulum and pendant is named Crescent Moon Goddess Incantation. It is made of a clear quartz nugget, app. 8-9 mm in diameter, which is set in a lovely antiqued golden bead cage. The piece is embellished with amethyst and wine crystals, and the filigree bail features a hand-antiqued vintage faux gem. The focal piece is a brass pendant measuring app. 50 mm in length and 30 mm in width, featuring a handworked solid vintage brass original crescent moon design with three crescent moons. A crescent moon goddess alights on a matching deep vintage brass crescent moon charm. The vintage brass tone necklace is adjustable, with an app. length of 18-20 inches.

INSPIRATION:

This piece was inspired by the Supreme Mother Goddess, who appears in numerous cultures and religions throughout the world. She is seen as Gaia and Ardwinna and Aine in the Celtic Culture...as Lakshmi in the Hindu religion...as Isis in Ancient Egypt...and even in Christianity we see a Mother Goddess type figurehead as the beautiful Virgin Mary...The cult of the Mother Goddess seems to be indeed a universal theme. I must admit that when I first began to make this piece with the rose petals, I never thought that the end result would have such mysterious, soft, iridescent colors.
