ABOUT BELEGAER, MIDDLE EARTH SEA:

Belegaer in Tolkien's writings is the sea that stretched west of Middle Earth. Frodo and Bilbo Baggins and the elves had to cross Belegaer to reach the Undying Lands, also known as Valinor, the elven Paradise.

* DOUBLE-SIDED: This Gemmagick Art Jewelry (tm) double-sided collectible is called BELEGAER MERMAID GROTTO. This luminescent, Elven, Tolkien inspired, original art jewelry piece is a magic Spell Cast Gems(tm) design.

* It was inspired by Tolkien's magickal world of wizards and elves.

* MATERIALS: This Belegaer Nautilus necklace/pendant and pendulum features a magickal mermaid portal on the one side and a mermaid grotto on the reverse.

*MERMAID PORTAL: The front side is made primarily of freshwater pearls and a natural rose petal in rainbow colors. Winding ceramic elven vines embellish the pearls and form a unique, mystical mermaid portal.

*THE GROTTO: The reverse side has a grotto made of tiny green jasper and clear quartz gemstones and a handworked vintage brass engraving panel. Grottos are caves, either on land or in the sea. Grottos have special significance in many cultures and religions and are often associated with the Mother Goddess or the Sacred Feminine.

ELVEN TOLKIEN JEWELRY: This enchanting, Elven, Tolkien inspired, original art jewelry piece is a magic Spell Cast Pendulums(tm) design. It is named RIVENDELL GARDENS.

* MATERIALS: This collectible amulet, pendant and pendulum features a handworked vintage copper, elven style lily/cone bell flower with genuine amethyst and a Czech fire polished amethyst bead as the thistle in a vintage copper filigree setting. The inside of the flower is lined with a natural rose petal in deep, vintage amethyst hues.

The central part of this piece features a lovely peridot silver foil bead surrounded by matching pale peridot beads, set in vintage copper wire. The pendulum itself is detachable and can be worn alone with the necklace/ ribbon.

The piece is embellished with crystal leaves in peridot and amethyst hues. Small crystals in lavender and fuschia embellished with Elven Vine Jewelry(tm) ceramic elven vines adorn the focal copper pendant.

HISTORY OF THIS "WICCAN SORCERESS" MYSTICAL TOOL:

I must admit that when I first began to make this piece with the rose petals, I never thought that the end result would have such mysterious, soft, iridescent colors. This tool also seems to have a vibrant, magickal energy which emanates from it and draws my attention to it. I named this tool "Wiccan Sorceress" due to this enchanting energy and these mysterious iridescent hues. For some reason, the rainbow colors seem to shift in different lights.

This multi-function mystical tool functions as an amulet/ talisman, pendant, altar piece, and can function as a pendulum as well.

NATURAL ROSE PETALS: This Wiccan Sorceress tool is made of solid, pure, handworked vintage copper and natural rose petals, in keeping with magickal practices and my love of Nature.

Contemporary fantasy often focuses on the dragon as a symbol of power. This rendition of a powerful dragon reminds one of contemporary fantasy movies:

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Golden Dragon appeared in the movie Dungeons and Dragons and these dragons were commanded by the Empress who vanquished an evil lord wishing to take over her subjects and kingdom. The dragons were an embodiment of magic, the magic of life.

TOLKIEN - THE HOBBIT: In the upcoming movie(s) of Tolkien's THE HOBBIT, the dragon SMAUG is purportedly a reddish golden dragon with golden eyes who takes over and sits on top of a hoard of gold, silver, gems, and jewelry at the Lonely Mountain. The hobbit, Bilbo Baggins and the Dwarves attempt to recover the treasure. It is unclear at this time what the dragon Smaug will look like, but it is rumored that Smaug will be a golden or golden red dragon with golden eyes...
