This is a photo of a handmade necklace inspired by the Mallorn Trees that grew in Lothlorien in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It is made from a single slice of agate carved into a teardrop shape, with handworked vintage brass, Victorian Filigree, and handmade ceramic elven vines.

ABOUT MALLORN TREES:

Mallorn trees originated in the Undying Lands. These trees were huge trees on which the elves made their home in Lothlorien. Their leaves were green and silver and in autumn the leaves turned golden.

Lothlorien came to be known as the Golden Wood, and Galadriel the Lady of the Wood.

This Tolkien-inspired jewelry collectible is named Rivendell Amethyst Dew...named after the famous elven Paradise, Rivendell, in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is a handmade, natural rose petal necklace by Spell Cast Gems(tm). The center is made primarily of genuine jade and amethyst beads, and the petals of the flower are made from natural rose petals and ceramic elven vines. This piece is large, and can be worn as an evening piece, a costume or even as a wedding piece. This flower is my version of a lovely fantasy world in which colors and flower petals are luminescent and unusually vibrant, drawing the bearer of the flower to new magickal dimensions.

RIVENDELL RAINDROPS: This Spell Bound Gems(tm) pendulum and pendant/necklace is named Rivendell Raindrops.

INSPIRATION:

This piece was inspired by the Paradise of the elves called Rivendell in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It is described as a valley full of wonderful waterfalls and lush vegetation. The Elven Princess Arwen, and her father Lord Elrond lived in Rivendell.


Rivendell Raindrops is made of a clear quartz nugget, app. 1+ inches long, which is set with handmade ceramic leaves and vines. The piece is embellished with green, copper, and periwinkle seed beads and clear green crystal beads. Clear and Wine hued Swarovski crystals add dew-like embellishments to the focal piece. Below, a genuine amethyst bead, set with an aurora crystal and lavender crystal cone beads with vintage copper bead caps adds to the appearance of magickal raindrops falling in the elven Paradise of Rivendell.

This piece includes deep purple and peridot ribbons with antique copper beads. The ribbons can be tied according to taste to adjust the length of the necklace.

ELVEN TOLKIEN JEWELRY: This enchanting, Elven, Tolkien inspired, original art jewelry piece is a magic Spell Cast Pendulums(tm) design. It is named RIVENDELL GARDENS.

* MATERIALS: This collectible amulet, pendant and pendulum features a handworked vintage copper, elven style lily/cone bell flower with genuine amethyst and a Czech fire polished amethyst bead as the thistle in a vintage copper filigree setting. The inside of the flower is lined with a natural rose petal in deep, vintage amethyst hues.

The central part of this piece features a lovely peridot silver foil bead surrounded by matching pale peridot beads, set in vintage copper wire. The pendulum itself is detachable and can be worn alone with the necklace/ ribbon.

ELVEN JEWELRY:

This magickal Legolas of Mirkwood handmade necklace features a natural geode slice, embellished with filigree, crystal, natural rose petals, and handworked vintage brass components.

In Tolkien's writings, the Mountains of Mirkwood were a forest later known as the Dark Mountains because of the density of the fir trees in that forest. Its shadowy, mysterious quality came from the thickness of the wood. After the War of the Ring, the mountains became the southern border of the kingdom of the elven King Thrnduil, who was Legolas' father. During the war against Sauron, Legolas became a member of the Fellowship of the Ring and accompanied Frodo Baggins on his journey to destroy the Ring of Sauron. He fought during the War of the Ring, constantly at the side of Aragorn, the heir to the throne of the kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor. Legolas was tall, limber, and very strong, had great vitality and was able to resist to injury, hardship, and fatigue. He was a Silvan Elf of Sindarin descent. His father Thrnaduil was one of the Sindar elves. The Elves of Mirkwood were mainly Silvan, or Wood-Elves, and Legolas considered himself to be one of the Silvan elves.

HISTORY OF THIS "WICCAN SORCERESS" MYSTICAL TOOL:

I must admit that when I first began to make this piece with the rose petals, I never thought that the end result would have such mysterious, soft, iridescent colors. This tool also seems to have a vibrant, magickal energy which emanates from it and draws my attention to it. I named this tool "Wiccan Sorceress" due to this enchanting energy and these mysterious iridescent hues. For some reason, the rainbow colors seem to shift in different lights.

This multi-function mystical tool functions as an amulet/ talisman, pendant, altar piece, and can function as a pendulum as well.

NATURAL ROSE PETALS: This Wiccan Sorceress tool is made of solid, pure, handworked vintage copper and natural rose petals, in keeping with magickal practices and my love of Nature.
