ABOUT BELEGAER, MIDDLE EARTH SEA:

Belegaer in Tolkien's writings is the sea that stretched west of Middle Earth. Frodo and Bilbo Baggins and the elves had to cross Belegaer to reach the Undying Lands, also known as Valinor, the elven Paradise.

* ART JEWELRY COLLECTIBLE: This is a one of a kind mixed media art jewelry collectible - and cannot be reproduced even if I tried.

RIVENDELL RAINDROPS: This Spell Bound Gems(tm) pendulum and pendant/necklace is named Rivendell Raindrops.

INSPIRATION:

This piece was inspired by the Paradise of the elves called Rivendell in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It is described as a valley full of wonderful waterfalls and lush vegetation. The Elven Princess Arwen, and her father Lord Elrond lived in Rivendell.


Rivendell Raindrops is made of a clear quartz nugget, app. 1+ inches long, which is set with handmade ceramic leaves and vines. The piece is embellished with green, copper, and periwinkle seed beads and clear green crystal beads. Clear and Wine hued Swarovski crystals add dew-like embellishments to the focal piece. Below, a genuine amethyst bead, set with an aurora crystal and lavender crystal cone beads with vintage copper bead caps adds to the appearance of magickal raindrops falling in the elven Paradise of Rivendell.

This piece includes deep purple and peridot ribbons with antique copper beads. The ribbons can be tied according to taste to adjust the length of the necklace.

ELVEN JEWELRY:

This Elven jewelry Tolkien inspired collectible was inspired by Tolkien's elven Prince Legolas.

In Tolkien's writings, the elven Prince Legolas played a major role in defeating the evil Lord Sauron. During the war against Sauron, Legolas became a member of the Fellowship of the Ring and accompanied Frodo Baggins on his journey to destroy the Ring of Sauron. He fought during the War of the Ring, constantly at the side of Aragorn, the heir to the throne of the kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor. Legolas was tall, limber, and very strong, had great vitality and was able to resist to injury, hardship, and fatigue. He was a Silvan Elf of Sindarin descent. His father Thrnaduil was one of the Sindar elves. The Elves of Mirkwood were mainly Silvan, or Wood-Elves, and Legolas considered himself to be one of the Silvan elves.

As part of the Vintage Rose Fairy Collection(tm), it is made of natural, organic rose petals, filigree, handmade elven vines (Elven Vine Jewelry(tm)), and handworked vintage solid brass designs by the artist.

Legolas of Mirkwood was the Prince of Mirkwood in Tolkien's writings. Fair-haired like Galadriel, he was the son of an elven King and joined the Fellowship of the Ring. He was Aragorn and Gimli's constant companion throughout the War against the evil lord Sauron.
