ELVEN JEWELRY: This Tolkien Jewelry collectible is a Spell Cast Gems(tm) original design named after Tolkien's Middle Earth Sea, Belegaer. It is called Belegaer Rainbow Mermaid Portal, descriptive of the rainbow tone of the natural rose petal. Freshwater pearls and gemstones form the mermaid portal. The composition is mounted on vintage copper filigree. A handworked vintage copper design is part of the reverse side of the piece.

This item was named after Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker ballet, which was modelled after E.T.A. Hoffman's story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." In the story, Clara, the heroine, has adventures with the Nutcracker and the toys, and then marries the Nutcracker/Prince, since her adventures turn out to be real, and not a dream.
