The Grey Havens was a port on the northwestern coast of Middle-earth in Tolkien's writings. The Grey Havens was the place from which the ships of the Elves sailed westward across the Middle Earth Sea to Paradise or the Undying Lands. Many Elves sailed away from Middle-earth from the Grey Havens, and the Ringbearers Frodo and Bilbo Baggins, his uncle, also sailed from the Grey Havens to the Undying Lands. The Grey Havens was located at the mouth of the Lune River. The Lune River flowed into the Gulf of Lune which emptied into the Sea.
